Hello everyone,

I'm sure you all are deeply concerned about Hurricane Dorian and the
devastation that storm is causing in the Bahamas, particularly since the
power of the storm and the size of its storm surge are intensified by
climate change. But one thing that the media (and most people) don't
realize is that the effects of these monster-sized storms are not limited
to human communities. They also affect the birds and other wildlife that
live on these "island paradises". So I wrote a little piece about three
critically endangered bird species that either live on Abaco or Grand
Bahama, where Hurricane Dorian is sitting, or on Andros, which are very
close to the eye of the hurricane.
