Feeder action is picking up. Nothing unusual but we have a good brood of
young House Finches this year. They flit about in groups of a half dozen or
so. Also American and Lesser Goldfinches, Scrub and Steller's Jays, Black
Capped and Chestnut Backed Chickadees, Flickers, Crows, Red Breasted
Nuthatch, our resident Anna's hummers and some very vocal Red-Tailed hawks
circling and chasing each other high above.



As a side note, I just returned from a visit to Florida and was amazed to
see Sandhill Cranes grazing in neighborhood yards. I wish they would do that
here!
