Fredericksburg could be a good base for you. Historic town with good food,
Enchanted Rocks State Natural Area is a great birding spot just outside of
town. Balcones Canyonlands NWR is the place to see the warbler and the
vireo. Golden-cheeked may be seen at Warbler Vista/Ridgeline Trail and the
vireo at Shin Oak in the NWR, although there also are other places where
they can be found. Pedernales State Park is another good birding area in
the vicinity. You can do some research on eBird.
