Saturday Audubon put on their yearly SWIFT NIGHT OUT community celebration in Monroe. A few hundred humans made the scene but the swifts did not. There were also no swifts last night. Bad news for the official bird of the city of Monroe.

Where did the swifts go? Last night our IBA roost site at JBLM had the most swifts it has ever documented, pushing 20,000.
