There is a part of Douglas Co. between Brewster and Bridgeport, along Hwy.
173 that we call the pull-outs. The last couple of weeks at least 3
unusual species have been observed there. First was a Glaucous-Winged
Gull spotted around Sept. 9th and seen again the 11th. Next was a
Red-throated Loon, seen Sept. 9 and 10th. Today I saw a Jaeger chasing a
gull (I was looking for the first 2 birds mentioned). The Jaeger's wings
were the same size as the gull.

If any birders are in this area I'd love to have you look for these birds,
esp. the Jaeger, so we can "guess" which one it was. Send me an email,
and I can point you in the right direction. Good Birding to All.
