Hi Tweets,

Bill Driskell, Nancy Jones, Inge Watson and I had a fun day in Kittitas and
Grant counties today. Half of the spots we went to I had never even heard
of, which made for an interesting day. I believe I got the location names
correct, but the coordinates are definitely accurate. I'll do eBird lists
soon. Highlights:

Sabine's Gull at Brook Lake (Grant) - Juvenile loosely associated with the
Bonaparte's. Smudgy head plumage, brown mantle, sharply contrasting white,
black and brown back/upperwings with distinct "M" in flight. Good looks on
the lakeshore foraging near the other gull. Lifer for all of us, nice
surprise! Coordinates: 47.431594,-119.234111

Bonaparte's Gull - Juvenile with the Sabine's. Bright legs, ear mark, tiny
dark bill, some dark on the wings in flight.

Marbled Godwit - Lone bird at the furthest East end of Crab Lake, which is
mostly dry. Highly unexpected; we pulled over so I could scope a gull and I
got everyone out of the car once I noticed a godwit. Large shorebird, long
legs, quite long slightly up-curved bill. Overall buffy with dark marks on
the scapulars. Bill was pink at the base and dark at the end. When the bird
stretched the upperwing was light brown and contrasted with the dark
leading edge. Coordinates: 47.408045, -119.072540

Sanderling - Juvenile at Brook Lake.

Western Sandpiper - Two at Brook Lake.

Baird's Sandpiper - Two at Brook Lake.

Pectoral Sandpiper - Three at Brook, nine near Crab Lake.

Long-billed Dowitcher - Forty at Brook Lake and thirty at Crab Lake.

Fifteen Lesser and twenty Greater Yellowlegs East of Crab Lake.

Ended the day at dusk getting Sage Thrasher, Western Bluebird and Sagebrush
Sparrow West of Vantage

100 species for the group today.
