Looked for some on Fir Island today but no luck. I did see 300+ Cacklers

And then, recognized the sound as many snow geese flying high overhead heading south. It lasted for more than 2 minutes. Although I could not see them through the trees, they gave me notice of their passing and the change in seasons. I am now on alert as I know more will pass overhead in the days ahead.
