There were lots of birds moving in Seattle today. For example, Discovery Park had more waxwings, juncos, Steller's Jays, robins, and Varied Thrushes than recently, plus passing ducks, Evening Grosbeaks, Merlin, Peregrine, Cooper's Hawk, pipits, a pair of ravens, and still a few warblers, Hammond's Flycatcher, and a couple of Northern Harriers. One of the flickers at the point had yellow wing and tail feathers (though a typical red-shafted's head). I saw three snipe fly south over the uplands.
