This morning bushtits collected nesting material in the yard. Pretty sure they've constructed a nest in my tall mahonia. The wrens are actively bringing food to the nest in old kitchen vent. Every now and then I hear the peeps of hatchlings.

At dusk yesterday a flock passed wildly through the yard-ruby crowned kinglets and yellow trumped warblers (in breeding plumage). I had to hit the ground as they came so close to my head and with such speed. Lol. I was on phone with friend recovering from covid 19 in Ny so only captured the obvious of the flock.

winter yellow rumps departed about 3 weeks ago but the song sparrows and golden crowned sparrows are still around.

The crows are nesting in conifers with a view into the yard and have been watching the comings and goofs if the nesters and fly in from time to time to investigate...

Hear geese flying overhead from time to time and the robins are also quite active. A few American goldfinch visit as well and juncos still around.

Routines seem to have changed. And the early morning songs have been a treat.
