Blue Macaws Are The Gardeners Of The Forest
Hello everyone,

I ran across a fascinating study about the blue macaws and how they
disperse the seeds of palms in South America. Basically, the authors use a
variety of data collected by their study and by several previous studies to
argue that large-fruited palms actually co-evolved with the Anodorhynchus
macaws acting as airmail seed dispersers, instead of the now-extinct
mammalian megafauna that had originally been thought to disperse these
large seeds.

I hope you find this study to be interesting as I did. As always, please do
share with your friends, family and colleagues, on social media and on
twitter.

stay safe. stay healthy. stay home.
