Twice twice this week I have seen a crow dive-bombing a squirrel in my back yard.  I don't believe there is a crow's nest nearby.  My conclusion is that the crow was bored or the squirrel may have had something the crow wanted, like a peanut.

I should also note that this year's keynote speaker at the Puget Sound Bird Fest in Edmonds is  Kaeli Swift, who will be speaking about crows.
