A week ago I photographed two Killdeer running around on the pebbly
strand at the Spit on Point Hudson, Port Townsend. There were several
hundred Brant in the water, plus I counted a dozen Black Oystercatchers
on the spit iteslf. Further away inside Quimper Bay and on the highwater
line opposite Indian Island, close to the ferry dock saw several
Harlequin Duck in the water close off, plus on the rip-rap, half a dozen
Black Bellied Plover, some Black Turnstones, some Sanderlings. Got lots
of photos... Dave Grainger birdsbydave.com
