Up here in Lake Stevens, my House Finch numbers also have been way down
this winter with only a couple regularly coming to my feeders. However, I
have heard several singing in the neighborhood during the past week.
Goldfinches were nonexistent and Pine Siskins almost so this winter as well
after large numbers of both in the fall. A few goldfinches has returned
this past week.
