Tweets -; this morning, I had at least one, and I believe two, singing male YELLOW WARBLERS in Redmond. I even got good looks at one. This is more than a week earlier than I've ever had YEWA in King County!
Other good birds included a HAMMOND'S FLYCATCHER and several VAUX'S SWIFTS. I heard a BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLER yesterday. There have also been large numbers of WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS, and I've heard both Pugetensis and Gambelii singing. I just had two Gambelii in my yard, giving me great looks. Very bright birds.
Spring is definitely arriving.
