Subject: [Tweeters] Where to look for Calliopes?

The talk about seeing Calliope Hummingbirds as yard birds reminds me that
it is a bird I have been meaning to pursue for a long time, but have never
really done so, other than planning a stream-side hike in the Teanaway
Valley a couple of years ago with the vague hope that it might be good
habitat.

Maybe this is not the best year to do it, but does anyone have suggestions
of good spots to look for breeding displays on public land? Campgrounds,
parks, hiking trails? We're in good shape, so a strenuous hike of an hour
or two is fine if it leads to a prime spot for the birds.
