Tweeters,

This week's post finishes the story of a pair of Red-breasted Nuthatches and a pair Downy Woodpeckers attempting to nest in the same branch - at the same time. The Downy Woodpeckers are approximately twice as big as the Nuthatches. However, the Nuthatches have been nesting in the branch since 2016. Follow the link to find out if they socialize, fight over property rights, or peacefully co-exist.

Have a great day on Union Bay, where nature lives in the city and Black Birders are welcome!
