Good Morning Birders,
A young black-headed grosbeak has been showing up in our garden in Wedgwood last couple of days. It's feeding skills a bit lacking but varied. Unable to maneuver on the feeders so I filled the trays to assist. It also inspected samaras on vine maples and even tried some Japanese anemone buds and flowers! I'm wondering where he's headed off to…
Lots of juvie juncos around-;and towhees, jays, chestnut-backed and black-capped chickadees and bushtits. The brown creeper is here fairly regularly too.
Take care everyone!
Note: If you still need a mask, be sure to check out Seattle Audubon's Nature Shop for a stylish one-;with birds of course, made by Virginia Morrison!
They've been flying off the shelves!!
