d.. Green Heron -; two
e.. Osprey -; all seem to have fledged; two seen
f.. Cooper's Hawk -; two seen across the slough
g.. BARRED OWL -; went to a spot on the boardwalk where Matt has been getting Screech, only to find a Barred already there. First of Year

i.. Purple Martin -; 5+ still around
j.. Cliff Swallow -; 1-2, first since early June
k.. Barn Swallow -; over a dozen still
l.. PURPLE FINCH -; abundant -; maybe 45!
m.. Brown-headed Cowbird -; 2 juveniles; first in several weeks
n.. Yellow Warbler -; one heard singing, south end of East Meadow
o.. Black-throated Gray Warbler -; 2-3
p.. WESTERN TANAGER -; many sightings; maybe six birds total? No adult males noted
q.. Black-headed Grosbeak -; one
BARRED OWL are quite uncommon at Marymoor, and we have only about a dozen records. This bird was right next to the boardwalk along the slough. Obviously, we did not continue to try for Screech Owl with the Barred Owl right there.

Misses today included Hooded Merganser, Pied-billed Grebe, Vaux's Swift, Bushtit, Lincoln's Sparrow (should be arriving any day now), and Wilson's Warbler.

For the day, 59 species.
