My husband Randy Robinson and I tried for the phoebe and waterthrush
Friday mid-afternoon at the Union Bay Natural Area (aka Montlake Fill in
Seattle), but had no luck. Not the ideal time of day to be birding with
the bright hot sun, though the light breeze helped. We saw nothing out
of the ordinary, though we got good looks at a Cooper's Hawk being
mobbed by swallows.
