Several of us were able to watch a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker this afternoon
at Federal and Edwards Aves. in Everett.Initially reported yesterday as a
possible Red-naped Sapsucker, the bird does appear to be a Yellow-bellied
especially with its white throat and speckled back. Quite a Patagonia
effect (go to see one rare bird and see another) this week near Jackson
Elementary School: Painted Bunting, Blue Jay (heard-only), Harris's Sparrow
and this sapsucker.
