Someone , possibly a local Audubon poster , claimed to have seen a Snowy
on Garfield street in Port Townsend in the last few days. Since we have
been visited by a Barred owl in that same time time frame and since the
Barred could easily be confused with a Snowy (coloration) by someone
who has not seen one before, I think that this ws a misidentification.
