Wiley slough boat launch had a Red Tail Hawk flying away with a still screaming animal in its talons. The nearby Hayton property had huge numbers of Dunlins, a Merlin, a Peregrine Hawk, Eagles, Pin-Tailed Ducks, etc. There was a Great Egret in a ditch off the La Connor-Whitney Road on the east side near Young Rd. East 90 and nearby had Harriers, Eagles, Red Tail and Rough Legged Hawks as well as Short Eared Owls and their associated Owl paparazzi.
