When my son and his wife and kids moved to the Kingston area a couple of years ago, into a house that had been unoccupied for over 3 years, they put up three hummer feeders. By the end of the following day, they were getting 20+ hummers moving between them, about a 4:1 ratio of Rufous to Anna's. Must have been a long-time pent up demand.
