Hi Tweets,

When I returned home from work, there was just enough light to check my hummingbird feeders. Usually around this time, there are no birds in the yard but as I rounded the corner to a second feeder, a silhouette of a slightly 'port bellied' bird appeared at the rim of the bird bath. Quietly I backed away and headed to an upstairs window (overlooking the bird bath) and with my new bins, I spied a hermit thrush continuing its dusk-time bath. What a pleasant surprise and way to get the weekend started!

It makes me wonder what else goes on at dusk ...

Happy Friday!

(ps to me they look portly or port bellied for their size and its feathers were poofed from the bath)
