Hello Washington birders!
Yes, as Jon mentioned, the unicycle Big Year is underway! It's off to a good start thanks to recommendations from Washington birders. Nisqually worked out well, and yesterday I snagged a few of the goodies around Olympia. Special thanks to Priscilla and Jeff for the tip on the Trumpeter Swans and Dipper.
I now have my sights set on Grand Mound, Elma, and then Aberdeen. From Aberdeen I plan to follow the Pacific coastline south, with a key stop at Cape Disappointment. If anybody on this listerv is local to these areas and would be willing to host me, you would be rewarded with a warm and genuine thank you, as well as a chance to ride the unicycle.
If not, please do consider just getting out and birding with me. I could use a keen eye on the coast in the hunt for Alcids. Feel free to email me directly or call/text me at 706-306-5974.
You all have been extremely helpful to me so far, so thank you!!
