There are Bank Swallow colonies with a couple of dozen pair on Alderdale Road in Klickitat County on the edge of Benton County about 1 mile upstream from Highway 14 that have been there for at least twenty years. Wilson Cady

Hello tweets,

I’m trying to find out where Bank Swallows breed in Washington. I know several places in Grant Co. but have lost track of other colonies, and I know they have waxed and waned over the years. So I’m asking for notices of any colony you have seen in the last few years and any possible estimates of numbers, even “a few” or “lots” or “OMG, they darkened the sky.”

Thanks!
