In 15 degree weather before a snowstorm and thankfully without any wind, I chased a pair of Barnacle Geese that have been reported in Plymouth County, Massachusetts today.  Saw lots of Canada Geese and lots of birders but no luck on the Barnacles.  Happens.
Got a consolation prize though.  Somewhat like our Birder's Dashboard,  https://birdfinder.net/region.php?region=US-WA which I use all the time, someone in Rhode Island created a site that gives ebird reports in pretty close to real time for rarities.  Can be used for any state by just changing the last two letters to the abbreviation for that state.  Here is the URL  https://birdfinder.net/region.php?region=US-WA
