Hi Megan -; I was in Costa Rica last month, and spent a couple of hours at the Bosque de Paz Lodge. It is probably a couple of hours from the Arenal observatory lodge, where I also visited. It is a small lodge in a magical reserve setting, and you would definitely want to contact the owner in advance if you want to visit without staying overnight. Feel free to PM me if you would like to discuss in greater detail.

She has set a goal to reach 500 total species on her life list by the end of 2020 (she is currently at 299).

Is it worth taking a day trip to Cano Negro from Arenal? Do we need to book these things now, or can we finalize plans after arrival?)
