Saturday July 19 I saw a single Black Turnstone on the jetty and pebble
beach with a small flock of other birds. The other birds flushed from the
pebble beach. As they flew I had only a glimpse of shorebirdy orangish
-killdeer or ruddy turnstones maybe. The Black Turnstone hung around for a
good hour.
Other birds 2 Rhinoceros Auklets, many Pigeon Guillemot, 5 Heermans Gulls,
other gull species, cormorants and a Bald Eagle.
Whidbey Island, Coupeville Ferry Dock south of Fort Casey.
