Tuesday July 21 a friend and I walked around the south meadow of
Discovery Park and to our amazement saw 2 Northern Harriers - one
clearly a juvenile. At first before we got a good look we thought the
adult we saw at a distance was a Cooper's hawk since we know they are in
the city - but the white rumps and flight patterns were clear once we
realized what they were. Have there been other urban sightings of Harriers?
