Subject: [Tweeters] Urgent need: Osprey nesting info from Dockton Park

If anyone has spent time at Dockton Park this spring/summer and knows anything about the Osprey nest at Dockton, could you please get in touch with me at your earliest convenience? I'm trying to determine current nest status. This morning I saw three birds, presumably 2 adults and 1 juvenile. At one point I saw one bird go sit at the edge of the nest for a while, and another come in with a fish... and then leave with the fish, all while the third bird looked on from a nearby perch. Later I saw one bird flying towards the nest with a stick. Yesterday I was on site for a couple hours and never saw any birds approach the nest. I'm trying to unravel this mystery. And by the way, contrary to what a lot of books, etc., say - this nest is in a living tree, and there is a second starter nest nearby in a live tree with a dead top. Interesting stuff.

Thanks!
