Looking at it now from the NE corner of Foster Island. I came from East
Montlake Park, but the Marsh Island trail seems to have sunk. Recommend
TALL rubber boots, bare feet, or a willingness to just get thoroughly wet
and muddy up nearly to your knees. At 4 pm, I was able to take the
Montlake exit and turn right on Hamlin. But police closures are a risk.
The bird is sitting on a short wooden post to the right of two taller
wooden posts, to the east of the northern part of Foster Island. It should
be visible from the 520 bridge trail too.
