The Vaux's Swifts, according to eBird, were two weeks early coming north through southern California this year. Numbers of sightings in April were off the charts.

Audubon's Vaux's Happening documented their most swifts ever going to roost during this northbound migration. 55 observers made 501 observations at 41 roost sites finding 39 active. Total roosting events were 363,728. Average for the last 13 years is 210,420. The roost sheltering the most swifts in NA, that we are aware of, was again Monroe Wagner.

Thank you to all involved.
