I've been doing the Bird Banter Podcast for some time now, but recording an
episode does not get much better than sitting in a remote area of the
northern Blue Mountains with our own Mike Denny and Ken Brown as three
Great Gray Owl fledglings are branching an begging as Mike held court on
everything you can want to know about GGOW in the area, the geology, flora
and fauna unique to this geologically unique place. I places a blog post
with photos at

After the owl experience and doing the podcast episode the day was still
young. Mike showed us Green-tailed Towhees, 11 Ferruginous Hawks,
Grasshopper Sparrows, Long-billed Curlews doing their evening flight, and a
fabulous sunset over Rattlesnake Mountain. Overall a spectacular day.

You can hear the episode on all of the popular podcast feeds, links on the
website with the blog post above, or at Apple Podcasts here.
