Subject: [Tweeters] Is Cornell Labs Birds of North America/World On-line available through Seattle or King Co. Public Libraries?

Hi Matt and others,

I did just try to login via the link I gave and using my library number, unsuccessfully. Unfortunately, the subscription and linkages may not have been updated, due to the CoronaVirus shutdown. Shortly after the conversion to Birds of the World, I did log in and used it. So, I may have given some bad advice. I would expect that the SPL subscription and linkages will be updated, but someone needs to bring it to the attention of the correct person. With the library still being shut down, that may be problematical.

Hi Tom -

But is it still there? I just looked through the list again on the database listing and don't see it - can you confirm that you still see this at SPL? I was disappointed when it went BNA went away at SPL, and would love it it Birds of NA were in there as a replacement.

thanks,

Matt

Ed,

If you have a Seattle Public Library account, it is available. Find at this <https://ezproxy.spl.org/login?url=https://birdsna.org> link. I do not know regarding King County.

I have a membership for myself but I was checking for someone who can't afford it to see if this great resource was available through the library. I tried to find it myself but failed and thought I would see if others have been able to use it through the library.

Good birding,
