Tweeters,

I'm seeing a lot of posts from folks who are still going out birding. I
request that we all stop doing that now. The birding can wait. It's not
a critical activity.

Gov. Jay Inslee on Friday pleaded with people across Washington to state
home unless absolutely necessary to slow the further spread of COVID-19.

"We understand that perhaps the force of law will not be necessary if
Washingtonians act with a force of compassion, in the force of
responsibility, in the force of a sense that we are, indeed, all in this
together," Inslee said during a news conference. "We remain concerned some
of our state are not taking the measures that are absolutely necessary."
