I can suggest looking at a series of lectures on YouTube by a CWU professor named Nick Zentner on the geology of the NW. They cover multiple subjects like the ice age floods (did you know Glacial Lake Missoula filled and emptied over 100 times?). Bridge of the Gods on the Columbia (a landslide completely blocked the Columbia only about 650 years ago). How about the current theory is that Mount Stewart moved here from Baja Mexico.

Every year (not this year!) Dr Zentner gives a series of free lectures in downtown Ellensburg. He videos them and puts them on YouTube. He is also an excellent lecturer, on par with Dennis Paulson. There are some short ones that appear/ed on PBS (Nick on the Rocks!).

All in all, another good way to spend some indoor time!
