Dear Tweeters,

I hope you are well and healthy. Normally I do not share my world travel
bird photos on tweeter. But this time I think it might be able to provide
some joy to birders who have been cooped up so long. From Feb. 1 to March
10 of this year, I went to Colombia solo for birds, study Spanish, visit
museums and taste cuisine. I stayed with 10 Colombian families. Colombian
people are on the top for their hospitality, friendliness and warmth. I
visited northern Colombia: Bogotá, Medellín, Barranquilla, Cartagena, Santa
Marta, Minca, Tayrona and Riohacha

Finally, I finished editing, uploading, and labeling the photos. They are
chosen from over 2 thousand of photos. it took quite some time to get the
species name right. During the photo editing process, I found some new
birds that I did not know I had them. I had to solicit help from a
Colombian ornithologist Dalino Santos to identify them. I hired him for a
day when I was at Parque Chicaque near Bogota and had a great time birding
together. Some of those photos are very bad, just a little view of a bird
from side, back or the front. He identified nearly all of them. I saw a
total of 277 species. Out of them there are 123 lifers. I had the good
fortune to meet some of the rare, endangered, and beautiful birds such as
the Scarlet Ibis, Black-and-white Owl, Vermillion Cardinal, Mustached Brush
Finch, Santa Marta Brush Finch, Black Inca, American Flamingo, etc. Without
the local guides and indigenous rangers, it is not possible. I thank them
and appreciate the conservation work they have been carrying out.

I divided these photos into 4 categories: People and landscape, Animals,
Birds and Macaw without a name. I hope during this unprecedent time of
Covid-19 these photos could give you some relief. Any questions or mistakes
I made, let me know. The following are the links to the photos:
