Hi Tweeters,

Just found a Northern Mockingbird by the Green Lake Library, at 2:20. While
driving by I heard a strange song that reminded me of an oriole, so we
stopped and I walked back. The song was coming from a very dense holly bush
in the corner of the library parking lot (just across the street from Green
Lake), and I couldn't see the bird at all. The bird started doing
robin-like calls, and then got quiet. Eventually, since I was on a time
crunch and really wanted to see the bird, I tugged a blackberry stalk, and
out flew a mockingbird! It didn't leave the bush, just came to the edge,
checked me out, and was heading back in when I left. I got crummy photos
with my cell phone, but the marks were clear: yellow eye, overall gray,
long mostly white tail, dark wings. If you chase please be respectful of
others space. :)

At Montlake Fill, highlights were calling and seen Macgillivray's Warbler
and Dusky Flycatcher, both of which were new for me there. Also continuing
Western Kingbird and my FOY Blue-winged Teal, Western-wood Pewee.
