Hi Tweeters,
As Bob Flores and another eBirder reported earlier, a flock of 26
White-faced Ibis were at South Big Lake at Ridgefield NWR this morning.
This is the lake on the other side of the road at the south end of Rest
Lake. Thanks to a low flying eagle, the flock flew southeast into a closed
section of the refuge. Probably still in the area though.
Randy Hill had a Swainson's Hawk visible from his yard and I saw what was
probably the same bird flying fairly high in circles at about 12:30 this
afternoon. This was about a 1/4 mile east of exit 11 on I-5 (Battle Ground
Highway which is Highway 502). Sending another one to the Seattle hawk
watchers!
Stay well and be safe while keeping your eyes and ears skyward!
Jim
