While up visiting the Johnson-DeBay Swan Reserve I observed a crow flying
out of a tree and then two ravens came over the trees and turned toward the
crow now well down the field. They continued on this path until out of my
sight. I was surprised to see 2 ravens.
I noted this because I instantly recognized the crow, but then when
much larger black birds came flying out, it was clear who was who. I
stopped and listened for any calls. I heard the distinct sound of a raven
as they turned to pursue the crow. The size difference was what really
caught my eye.
