Subject: [Tweeters] Update on Swan Reserve illegal activity

Thank you to those who wrote off line regarding the illegal hunting dog
training found at the Johnson-DeBay Swan Reserve last Saturday.
An update: After I submitted a detailed description of events along
with several photographs, WDFW enforcement took quick action and contacted
the offending party. While he was not happy to get their call he was
informed of the regulations--education was the first step. While this guy
did have an attitude, he at least now knows that if he does it again he
will get a citation.
So, keep your eyes and awareness open while out birding. If you see an
activity that appears out of place, take a closer look. If it is, please
report it. Take photos and write down details of the event as you observe
it, including any sounds like gunshots or whatever.
A HUGE THANK YOU to WDFW Enforcement for quickly dealing with this
unfortunate event.
