Hooray for the Evening Grosbeaks! Love those birds. Glad to see the
reports here on Tweeters today.

I have heard very small numbers flying by a few times over the past two
weeks. Had a few at the feeders earlier today, and just witnessed 30-35
fly by over our field on South Whidbey Island. Last year we recorded
this species at our place 30 times, but it was always very small
numbers, and we didn't see them ever come down to our feeders. There was
much more of this species around 25 years ago, and they appear to be in
a steady decline, so it's great to see them in larger numbers for a
change.
