As a professional wildlife biologist with 20 years of experience working in in Washington State if anyone had walked up to me and said that they saw a wolverine on the outer coast I would have, in all honesty, thought they were bonkers and would have written it off as a misidentification of a river otter, or maybe, and I mean big maybe, a sea otter. A wolverine on a beach in Pacific County is so far out of the norm I still question how it got there. I'm glad they got a picture of it. Truly remarkable. Also green with envy.

A rare sighting of one of Washington state's elusive creatures was almost not believed.
