Yesterday evening, an odd-looking male hummingbird showed up while I was sitting on the porch; I was out there with no camera or binoculars. I thought it was a BCHU, but wasn't sure. 
This morning (30th May) the bird has been visiting my feeders all morning, during a thunderstorm. All the twenty to twenty-five hummingbirds here are soaking wet and hungry, and are jousting for a spot at one of the 17 fake yellow flowers available. It's about 60% Rufous, 40% Anna's, plus the one male BLACK-CHINNED HUMMINGBIRD, for a total of close to 25 hummingbirds. My wife got one photo showing the violet gorget below a black chin; there is a white area below the black. The bird has a postocular spot, but lacks the white "lorgnette" of the Anna's male.
If there are birders in the area who'd like to try for this bird, feel free. We will have company this afternoon, but that's okay. Actually, we had company on the third of June 2018, which was the first time this species showed up in my yard, and we just continued with our board games while birders came and went! The address is 8170 Healy Road. The USPS calls it a Sedro-Woolley address, but it's really halfway between Lyman and Hamilton.
