It really was a great trip to SE AZ.  Added ABA Lifers Ruddy Ground Dove, Eared Quetzal, and White Eared Hummingbird and got ABA Lifer photo of Northern Jacana (after 42 years!!).  Ended with some lovely Rosy Faced Lovebirds in Phoenix.
Several people asked about COVID-19 travel concerns.  I in no way want to diminish concerns about it and I waited for months before deciding to take the trip.  Some observations on that:  The lines in the airports were almost non-existent.  Everyone was wearing a mask at the airport and on the planes although there were some masks that were not covering noses as well as mouths at times.  I flew Alaska Airlines.  Planes were about 1/2 full and all center seats were open. I talked to airplane pilot friends who were very reassuring about the air filtration on the airplanes.  Better than almost anywhere.
Everyone at hotels and car rentals wore masks and most were separated by plexiglas.  Food service and gas stations were of concern but again all required masks and all people were wearing them.  I never ate in - always took food to go.  I wore a mask at all times and included a double layer insert.  I was socially distanced at all times - well except for a few moments when trying to get a better angle for an Eared Quetzal photo.
