I finally got up to Alki to see the Ash-throated Flycatcher around 11:30 this morning (Thursday). As others have noted, the house where it seems to hang out most of the time is 6614 SW Admiral Way. A very helpful and patient birder named Tom spotted the bird and did his best to help me see it while I struggle to discern the bird among the very similarly colored, equally fluttering autumn leaves. Finally the flycatcher cooperatively fluttered at the whitish berry clumps emerging from the palm-type tree on the south side of that house's front yard, where I could finally see him clearly. What a gorgeous creature, especially that rusty tail! (Unfortunately, none of the photos turned out well, but hopefully it'll stick around through the coming rains and I can try again later.)

Occasionally the bird perched for a few seconds on a utility wire, making for better observation for those who are faster on the draw than I. After several minutes with four of us watching the bird from across the street, it flew to the upper corner of the next house uphill/west of the target house, and none of us could re-find it in spite of perhaps 20 minutes of looking.
