This is absolutely a Wagtail. Their identification as to species is a
little complicated.
The article posted by Ian Paulsen is a useful introduction but without a
date. I looked up the date, 1998!

A lot of lumping/splitting has gone on since then, look for more recent
work.
The Citrine/White Wagtail internet identification is a good place to start.

Looks like a Savannah Sparrow, if I'm not mistaken.

Hello Tweets,
>>
>>
This is mainly a notice in case anyone wants to go see if it's hanging

around. A guy named Fei Cheng posted on the Washington Birders Facebook
>>
group a picture of a bird he tried to ID and he said what he could find is
>>
that it was some type of Wagtail, possibly a Citrine or a White Wagtail,
>>
which it looks like one to me. He said he saw it yesterday evening at the

northeast part of Alki Beach. The picture of it is standing on a rocky

area.

Please post if anyone goes looking for it and finds it! Or if you just

can confirm what type of bird this is.
