Tweets, I am in need of your considered opinion. This afternoon I saw a
small thrush. My first view was of it's back and the rusty tail was
prominently displayed. When I finally got a glimpse of the front of the
bird, I noticed the brown-spotted breast with a buffy cast, whiter on the
belly. After looking at Sibley, I realized that I had not observed the eye
ring. This bird did not have the black-spotted breast like the Hermit's
illustration. Do some of our Swainson's have that rusty/warm brown color?
