A friend posted an E Bird report from the Asotin landfill today and reported seeing few gulls.He reported looking from 1115 to 1200.For some reason unknown to me there has been a pattern to the gulls at the landfill for the last 4-6 weeks.The gulls seem to leave around 1030-1100 for parts unknown.This early in the season there are perhaps only 100 +/- total gulls.On three separate occasions, I have found them in the 0930- 1030 time frame.I have found the adult Lesser Black-backed Gull on three separate trips during this time.Other species present are Ring-billed, California and Herring at this time.If you are planning a trip to our area for the LBBG, feel free to drop me an e mail ahead of time.Keith CarlsonLewiston
